Depending on whom you ask and what studies you have read, there are varying opinions on the coalition between acne and diet. In fact, countless studies and experts have investigated and published countless works on the matter. Some individuals have found success when they eliminate caffeine. Caffeine is commonly found in sodas and coffee. It may help to eliminate these caffeine sources as you try to alter your diet in other areas.

Acne Diets: Fruits and Vegetables

How many times have you heard to eat more fruits and vegetables? Well, it may be hard to count. If you are cutting out foods rich in saturated fats you may be looking for alternatives including, but not limited to fruits and vegetables. In addition to “substituting” other foods, vitamins offer many nutrients and vitamins that can help keep you skin clear and your body functioning.

Acne Diet: Remember Your Vitamins!

If you are changing your diet to include “anti-acne” food, you can also include a new vitamin regime. Antioxidants have proven to help for some anti-aging regimes and can also be beneficial for acne control. You should check with your doctor to find out what vitamins work for you, current medications, and your overall health. Some antioxidant vitamin choices include, but are not limited to vitamin C, green tea, and vitamin A.

Vitamins can also be located and applied as topical treatments. Again, these decisions should be made between you and your doctor and should help, not hinder, any other topical treatments you are currently using.
